Greetings, I’m a full-time independent vector based illustrator and designer, inspired by fashion, vintage graphics, and classic cinema.
My background is rooted in fashion design, with an emphasis on all aspects of the design process from concept to completion, including but not limited to rough sketching, source materials, first patterns, technical illustration, prototyping, manufacturing, and merchandising of the final product.
A design oriented approach is the ever-humbling counterpart to my artistic identity. Having worked for many years in the fashion industry as a design assistant and patternmaker creating clothing, jewelry, accessories, and leather goods prior to my professional entry into the world of graphic design and illustration, my knowledge of the apparel manufacturing process both informs and influences my illustrative work.
I am a visual storyteller who values design with purpose. My desire to communicate an idea clearly and concisely through visual means remains a common thread, weaving through my multi-disciplinary creations, while my continued education in the areas of graphic design, illustration, marketing, and e-commerce drive my ever-growing skillset, in the realm of design.
My relationship to traditional art predates my formal design experience and education by nearly a decade, totaling approximately thirty years of exploration, through the fundamentals of drawing and illustration. I enjoy illustrating in a number different styles, often selecting the medium best suited for a given idea or concept. I currently live-paint two days a week on Twitch, sharing my insight on traditional and digital mediums alike.
