The month of June began with a creative whirlwind of ideas, as I dove into the process of refinishing a Fender guitar, for the upcoming Amplified Creations exhibition, at the Hive Gallery Los Angeles.
Having dedicated a significant amount of time to learning about the process of refinishing an instrument, the materials, and ultimately what could or could not be accomplished within a given amount of time, I carefully and methodically began the refinishing process.
At the end of the month, I find myself nearing the finish line for one of the coolest exhibitions to have crossed my path. I have just completed the final coat of body paint and will be prepping the instrument for graphics and finishing, within the next few days.
Live-stream painting sessions will resume after I have delivered my instrument to the gallery by July 7th, for the exhibition opening July 11th.
In the meantime, I will be authoring a few blog posts to be shared here, detailing the creation of my exhibition piece, as well the final instrument.
I look forward to sharing what I have learned and will catch up with everyone soon.
